The new versions of Access have a wonderful feature. You can develop an application and package & deploy a runtime version for your end users. They don't even need to have Access installed on their computer. You can package your application with the package wizard. And give it away along with the free Access Runtime executable (around 55 MB). You as a developer would of course need the Office professional version installed on your machine. You will also need to install the Access 2007 Developer extensions. Well, not sure how it's going to work out. Microsoft even gives a 60 days trial version of Office 2007 Professional.
What is access runtime trusted location?
The package that you send over to your users won't really run unless you set the working directory as an "access runtime trusted location". This is basically telling the system that the application comes from a trusted source. You would generally set your local working directory as a trusted location.
